AUSTRIA-ROCK-FESTIVAL is back! They moved from legendary Pinkafeld to Klagenfurt (October 3th/4th) Onboard the heroes of the 80ies (NO BROS, BLIND PETITION, SEXTIGER, BLUESPUMPN...) and with RUSSKAJA, ALKBOTTLE, EXCUSE ME MOSES, BADHOVEN a.o. a bunch of the greatest and best rocking bands in this country. No wonder that SPEED LIMIT will be amongst them on Saturday, 4th of October. Watch out and be there!

RITCHMORE rocked the EURO fanzone in Salzburg in a kind of realtime thunderstorm on 26th of June. It couldn´t have been a better scenery for "Stormbringer". "Coming out of nowher driving like rain - Stormbringer dance on a thunder again..." Because of the bad weather there weren´t too many people watching, but those who´d been there got a one hour full service of "The Best of Deep Purple & Rainbow-highlights", which you could see on their fully satisfied smiles in the faces. |

RITCHMORE Live at UEFA EM 2008 Fanzone! RITCHMORE had been asked to be part of the UEFA EM 2008 entertainment programm at the fanzone in Salzburg (Residenzplatz) at the 2nd semifinal on Thursday 26th of June 2008. As Ritchie Blackmore has always been kneen on football and the members of Ritchmore are fans themselves it was a very simple decition to say yesssss! Watch out for flyers and don´t miss the eary start (somewhere around 6:00 p.m.)! |

SPEED LIMIT took their chances and rocked in front of some 1200 people playing support for rocklegend NAZARETH at Salzburg´s Gusswerk on April, 12th. It was the perfect opportunity for a brief comeback-gig - so everybody around had to notice that they are definitely back on the track. SPEED LIMIT are back to heavy business!!! "Out of the blue and into the black!" - after some 15 years SPEED LIMIT reunite and are armed and ready to hit stages again. Steven Hogger (voc.), Joe Eder & Chris Angerer (both guit.), Chris Pawlak (b.) and Wolf Krug (dr.) seem to be the perfect team to prolong (or even outshine) the success of the 80ies heroes. Former TORSO & VELVET GLOVE bassman MARTIN SALZER releases Solo-CD! Martin who disapeared from the rock-surface some 20 years ago (as basser in TORSO) released a fine - verrrry 80ies influenced (bad???) - album as "VINE". TORSO opened for NO BROS on October, 18th at Rockhouse Salzburg. with 3 new songs in the setlist and (of course) some "classix" they managed to please the audience to a greart extend. Joe and Andy were in the fanclub of NO BROS some 20 years ago, so it was an emotional evening not only for the both of them. Salzburg was given a real heavy metal party! In the "youtube"-section of TORSO (www.youtube.com/torsolover) you can watch a clip of new baby "As Hard As It Gets" from that particular event. |

Again FIREBALL 007 was the expected endless party - with tons of sweat, laugh, booze and ... ehh ... music, how could I forget. The guestlist was perfect: best kiss doubles ever!!!, rocky horror to guns & roses, not to forget members of GRAVEDIGGER to SABBATON and THERION in real (after their kicking lifeshows in the house that night!) DR. STORMBRINGER`s fun-level was obviously satisfied - easily convinced (by the bar staff)to do another FIREBALL in 2008 - let´s see. |

the "kick-off" for NICI & THE DUDES summer-tour was the expected "sweaty-event"! the first "covers only"-show of the band ever at the rockhouse bar in salzburg had loads of sparkling moments and saw guest appearances of MANFRED KIRCHMEYER ("ain´t no love in the heart of the city") and "original-dudette" ANSCHIE GRAF ("6 feet high"). unfortunately it was the real kickstart of summer 06 and some preferred staying in the beergardens to coming along and sharing the party. nevertheless: those hundred diehards got what they paid for (some even more!?) a groovy firework of chartbreakers of the last 30 years rocked away in the usual dude-manner and NICI BERGEN on high spirits. |
